BTA runs its own monthly support group and publicises other support groups in the UK run by different charities.
BTA provides a set of information booklets and leaflets. Some are also available in paper format. A newsletter, KITE, is published annually.

BTA works to improve the level of public knowledge about brain tumours and the challenges they create, through networking, public events and campaigning. It also funds training opportunities for health professionals working in neuro-oncology.
BTA has a trained counsellor among its committee members.
BTA funds research projects and supports Brain Tumour Research, an alliance of charities which combine their resources to contribute to research and campaigning at Westminster. BTA is represented at The Scottish Parliament, Holyrood.
In Scotland we provide funding for aromatherapy and massage sessions at hospital clinics.
